Estate Planning
Planning for your future and the future of your family is very
important. Proper planning is the only way that you can secure your
future and ensure that proper provision is made for your loved ones.
Many people are reluctant to face the important issues of
advancing age, death, retirement from work and incapacity. One thing
is certain, however, some or all of those things will happen to all
of us one day. It is important to take control of those situations
to the best of your ability. Failure to do so, could see your
affairs being handled by people administering the law rather than by
the people you trust and care for. For example, your affairs could
be placed in the hands of the Protective Commissioner in certain
circumstances, the financial affairs of your children after your
death could be placed in the hands of the Public Trustee and the law
will determine the beneficiaries of your Estate after you die if you
haven't made a Will. If you want to take control of your own future
and the future of your family you should read on. If, on the other
hand, you are happy for others to make decisions concerning your
future and those of your family, then we cannot help you.
At Matthews Dooley & Gibson, we have helped
people plan for their future for over 30 years. We have experienced
professionals in both our Blacktown and Baulkham Hills offices to
help you in the following areas of Estate Planning:-
Estate Litigation
Sometimes our loved ones get it wrong. They may not make a Will
at all, or they may make a Will at a time when they do not fully
understand what they are doing or simply make a wrong decision and
fail to make proper provision for family members or others who
should receive provision under their Will.
Sometimes other people intervene in a person's Will-making
process. They may exert undue influence on a person to make a Will
in a certain way or, worse, they may even forge a signature on a
Will.
We have vast experience in helping people to overcome these
problems to receive a fair share of the Estate of a deceased person.
If you think that you have been unfairly treated in relation to an
Estate you should read on to see whether you think we might be able
to help you.
